TURNOVER MILESTONE – WIND Flyer Trimaran Fast Crew Boat

Date 31st July 2025: Marsun Public Company Limited proudly hosted the turnover milestone of the WIND Flyer Trimaran Fast Crew Boat at its shipyard in Samut Prakan. This significant event was attended by our valued partners from Chevron Thailand, Uniwise Offshore, and Marsun teams. Special thanks also to Wind Naval Architects, the innovative designer behind this groundbreaking vessel.

This turnover marks a key engineering milestone in the construction of the first-of-its-kind Trimaran Fast Crew Boat for Oil and Gas Operation. Utilizing the upside-down hull building method, Marsun has ensured superior welding quality and structural precision. The turnover operation itself required meticulous planning and calculation by Marsun’s in-house engineering team to achieve accuracy, safety, and structural alignment.

The project exemplifies how Marsun’s long-standing expertise as a proven shipbuilder, combined with cutting-edge naval architecture, results in a vessel that meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability. A collaboration of trusted experience and bold innovation. This vessel showcases a successful integration of advanced maritime technologies—Semi-SWATH trimaran hull, motion-damping foils, and high-efficiency waterjet propulsion—delivering next-generation performance for offshore operations.

The WIND Flyer Trimaran Fast Crew Boat is capable of service speeds at 34 knots, with exceptional seakeeping in rough seas up to 2.5 meters. Designed for critical offshore operations, it offers a practical alternative to helicopters for crew transfers—enhancing safety, comfort, and cost-effectiveness.

With over 355 vessels delivered since 1980, Marsun remains at the forefront of Southeast Asia’s shipbuilding industry, providing reliable, high-performance solutions for both defense and commercial marine sectors.
