On 24 June 2026, Marsun Public Company Limited, together with Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. and Uniwise Offshore Co., Ltd., held the naming ceremony of the new offshore crew transfer vessel, “Uniwise Commander,” at Chuk Samet Port, Sattahip District, Chonburi Province. The ceremony marked the successful development and delivery of a vessel designed to provide safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible transportation of personnel to offshore petroleum production facilities in the Gulf of Thailand.
“Uniwise Commander” is a 35-meter aluminum trimaran and the first vessel of its kind in Thailand to be deployed for personnel transportation in the oil and gas industry. Designed by Wind Naval Architects and jointly developed by Marsun, Uniwise Offshore, and Chevron, the vessel represents a significant step forward in enhancing the efficiency, safety, and reliability of offshore personnel transportation operations.
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Chatit Huayhongthong, President of Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., while Ms. Tatsanee Hongkrailert, Vice President – Supply Chain and Logistics, Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd., served as the Vessel Sponsor and officiated the naming ceremony.
The event was attended by distinguished representatives from both the public and private sectors, including General Sipan Panwawat, Director of the Defense Industry and Energy Center; Rear Admiral Korkiat Boonpok, Commander of the Submarine Squadron, Royal Thai Fleet; Rear Admiral Surasak Cherdpad, Director of Sattahip Commercial Port; Mr. Nikom Setthalak, Natural Gas Specialist, Department of Mineral Fuels, Ministry of Energy; Mr. Patrawin Chongvisal, Chief Executive Officer of Marsun Public Company Limited; and Captain Surachet Kangwanwanich, Co-Head of Business, Uniwise Offshore Co., Ltd., who joined the ceremony as witnesses to this important milestone.
The naming ceremony of “Uniwise Commander” reflects the strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in advancing maritime innovation and transportation technologies.
