From Shipyard to Sea — A Proud Moment for Marsun
On 14 March 2026, Marsun Public Company Limited successfully launched the vessel “UNIWISE COMMANDER” at the company’s shipyard, marking another significant milestone in the development of a high-performance vessel for the offshore industry.
The vessel was designed by Wind Naval Architects and constructed by Marsun. Throughout the shipbuilding process, meticulous attention was given to every stage—from hull fabrication, superstructure installation, machinery and onboard equipment integration, through to the lifting and launching operation using a crane with a capacity of over 200 tons. These processes ensure that every vessel delivered from the yard meets the highest standards of quality, precision, and safety.
“UNIWISE COMMANDER” is a Trimaran Fast Crew Boat specifically developed for offshore personnel transfer operations. The vessel is capable of achieving a service speed of 34 knots while maintaining operational stability in wave heights of up to 2.5 meters.
Featuring a trimaran (triple-hull) configuration, the vessel offers enhanced stability, reduced vessel motion, and increased deck space. This design enables the transportation of a large number of personnel together with their equipment in a single voyage, significantly improving the efficiency of crew transfer operations to offshore platforms.
In many offshore missions, a Trimaran Fast Crew Boat also provides an effective alternative to helicopter transport, as it allows both personnel and equipment to be transported simultaneously in larger volumes, reduces operational costs per trip, and enables continuous service without relying on aviation infrastructure.
